Junior Class Bowls for Turkeys

Submitted by Casey Thompson

What’s better than pizza, soda, and….turkeys!?  Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe High School’s Juniors were on the hunt for three strikes in a row at the bowling alley as part of a class night out Friday.  Many a student and teacher tried, but only a few came close to the elusive, and surprisingly athletic bird.

With turkey off the menu, our awesome students enjoyed one another’s company through three games of 10-frame, topping the night off with one “Crazy Bowling” round, where they could show off their opposite hand technique, one-foot hop throw, and a daring feat of trust whereby they threw their ball through a partner’s legs!
There are always good times to be had at Lac Courte Schools, even after hours!

A big chi miigwech to the class of 2015 and the teachers that supported the event.
